The new equipment will allow medical staff to perform colonoscopic examinations faster, more accurately and more safely. Strengthening the technical base of the hospital is crucial for early detection of serious diseases of the digestive system, primarily colorectal cancer. Early diagnosis is a key factor in determining the success of patient treatment and recovery. In addition, technological modernization will contribute to a direct reduction in waiting times for people in need of these medical examinations.
According to the facility, the technology has already been installed and put to use: two colonoscopes have been transferred to the colorectal surgery department, while the third has been installed in the hospital’s consultative department. This initiative is part of a large-scale effort to develop Moldova’s medical infrastructure, aimed at improving the quality of medical services and increasing the population’s access to advanced methods of gastroenterological and endoscopic care.
