Farmers are owed nearly 40 million lei in post-investment compensation based on 38 claims. The largest share of this amount comes from subsidies for completed investment projects in livestock farming—nearly 14 million lei for the construction or modernization of nine farms (including the purchase of breeding stock).
The second-largest area of subsidies last month was investments in crop production infrastructure—just over 8 million lei for six investment projects (including the construction and renovation of two grain elevators with associated processing equipment). Third place, with subsidies totaling about 6 million lei, went to rural tourism (the construction or renovation of five guesthouses).
Fourth place in the June ranking of post-investment subsidies went to winemaking — 4.4 million lei (planting 26 hectares of vineyards, installing support systems on 48 hectares of vineyards, and purchasing two tractors and one sprinkler system).
Last month, 13.83 million lei were provided to farmers as advance payments. These were mainly payments for the first tranches of projects in livestock breeding (including beekeeping) and the purchase of agricultural machinery and greenhouse equipment.
In addition, a relatively small amount (0.50 million lei) was allocated for the development of 17 projects under the LEADER rural initiative group program.
In addition to the subsidies, last month the AIPA agency allocated 61.71 million lei from the State Reserve Fund to provide financial assistance to farmers in the form of a refund of excise taxes on diesel fuel.
