As a reminder, the current term was scheduled to end on June 30, 2026.

ANRE emphasized that the measure is aimed at ensuring the continuity of natural gas supplies and maintaining the stability of the supply system in the Transnistrian region.

The measure to prolong the mandate of JSC “Moldovagaz” allows maintaining the already existing operational and contractual mechanisms, including those related to gas transportation, system balancing, flexibility services and other related activities.

This solution provides predictability in planning transportation capacity reserves, which is an important element for the normal functioning of the supply system.

The decision was made on the basis of the Natural Gas Act, as well as the proposal put forward by the Ministry of Energy, which requested a six-month extension of the duties performed by the company.

At the same time, the entity responsible for natural gas supply to the Transnistrian region is obliged to create and maintain natural gas reserves intended for the consumers of the Transnistrian region.
