Moldova imported more than 3.5 thousand tons of Ukrainian cheese

In the first nine months of 2025, Moldova imported approximately 3.65 thousand tons of cheese from Ukraine, Logos Press reported.

Moldova imported more than 3.5 thousand tons of Ukrainian cheese

As reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, exports of Ukrainian cheese during January-September 2025 increased by 21.8%, if compared to the same period last year – up to 10.6 thousand tons.

In monetary terms, exports for nine months brought $48.3m, which is 28.8% more than in the same period of 2024.

The largest buyers of cheese produced in Ukraine in the three quarters of 2025 were Moldova (34.5%), Kazakhstan (28.8%), as well as Germany (9.24%).

Cheese production in Moldova itself last year amounted to slightly less than 9 thousand tons, and consumption – about 15 thousand tons.
