The ukr.net website quoted an unnamed source as saying that during the visit, the IMF chief is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Yuliya Sviridenko, central bank governor Andriy Pyshnyy and heads of a number of companies.
Allegations have emerged that details of Georgieva’s visit to Ukraine have been carefully kept secret for security reasons. But there are also other assumptions – that the IMF has accumulated “serious questions” to Ukraine, the discussion of which may be extremely painful for Kiev. Therefore, in order not to inflame passions in advance, the visit was kept secret until the last minute.
