The agency reports that during this period, State Tax Service officials conducted 177 tax audits of 150 taxpayers. The Main Control Directorate issued 171 decisions regarding violations of the law, resulting in the assessment of additional tax liabilities totaling 5.8 million lei.
Of this amount, 2.9 million lei consisted of taxes, fees, late payment penalties, and other charges, while another 2.9 million lei consisted of fines.
According to the tax authority, 67 decisions were issued last week regarding VAT refunds from the budget totaling 64.8 million lei.
To settle taxpayers’ tax arrears between August 3 and 7, 2026, the State Tax Service ensured the collection of 51.54 million lei for the budget through enforcement measures.
In addition, over the past week, the National Tax Service registered 51 cases involving confiscated property totaling 984,580 lei. During this period, 22,680 lei received from the sale of confiscated property were transferred to the state budget.
