
Solar panels will be located in Mereni (Nové Aneny), Cosnica (Criuleni), Lozova (Straseni), Larga (Briceni) and Sipoteni (Călărași). Each park will have a capacity of up to 200 kW, they will be equipped with modern video surveillance systems, perimeter lighting and security fences that meet European quality and safety standards.
This initiative is part of the project “EU4Moldova Sustainability: Safer States, Resilient Communities”, funded by the European Union and implemented by Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova.
The beneficiary settlements were selected after a public call for grants launched by Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova in July 2024. These communities will be able to produce green energy for their own consumption, reduce local budget expenditures and contribute to environmental protection by reducing CO₂ emissions.
In addition, Smart Villages projects will be implemented in these municipalities to modernize local infrastructure and public services.
The construction and connection to the electricity grid is expected to be completed in September 2025.
