This is reported by CNN, citing an informed source.

The meeting was held at Trump’s golf club in Virginia shortly after his return from China. It was attended by Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

The TV channel does not specify what decisions were made during the meeting. However, it recalls that Trump has recently become increasingly impatient with the way Tehran is handling diplomatic negotiations and is considering more seriously the possibility of resuming major combat operations in Iran.

Thus, the publication says, the Pentagon has prepared a number of military plans in case Trump eventually decides to launch more strikes, including pinpoint strikes on energy and infrastructure facilities in Iran.

Trump is expected to meet with his national security team again early this week, a CNN source said.
