From June 2 to July 24, 2026, under the auspices of the Chisinau City Hall, the B. P. Hasdeu Municipal Library launches the VIIIth Summer Challenge program.
The camps will operate from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 and 13:00. Four tours of two weeks each are planned.
This year’s program is held under the slogan “Exploring Chisinau in the library!” and is dedicated to the jubilee year of the city of Chisinau, which on July 17, 2026 will celebrate 590 years since the first mention of it in historical documents.
The program is aimed at the target audience, which includes children aged 7 to 12 years old.
The venue of the free thematic camps for children is all 27 branches of the Municipal Library named after B. P. Hasdeu.
During the activities, children will discover Chisinau through reading, games, creativity and interactive activities. Librarians have prepared games, thematic surveys and contests, interviews with community members, photo sessions, etc.
Last year, 2306 participants spent their vacations in the thematic camps of the library.
