To ensure the most convenient user experience while driving, the platform offers direct navigation via mobile navigation apps (GPS) commonly used by the public.
The main purpose of the map is to provide real-time identification of the nearest safe parking areas along national highways. This is particularly important for the regular parking of trucks during hot weather, when the movement of heavy vehicles is restricted to protect the roads, as well as when drivers are nearing the limit of their permitted driving time and need to stop urgently to rest.
The initiative is being implemented in the context of the entry into force on January 1, 2026, of Annex No. 5 to the Road Transport Code No. 150/2014, with reference to “List of violations of drivers’ work and rest schedules and their severity.”
In this context, to ensure that rest periods and breaks are taken at designated locations and to avoid penalties, ANTA strongly urges all drivers involved in transport operations on national and international routes to familiarize themselves with the map of relevant public parking areas on national highways, which indicates their facilities and capacity.
