
Financial assistance is intended for farmers with officially certified damage of at least 50% of the potential yield. To receive assistance, applicants must have a bank account in local currency, not be in bankruptcy or liquidation, meet international standards of transparency, and the affected farmland must not have been insured against the same risks in the same period (i.e. – last year).
The package of documents submitted to AIPA should include: an application form filled out according to the approved template, a declaration of personal liability, a copy of AGR Statistical Report No. 4 or a certificate of proof of ownership of agricultural land (for applicants cultivating less than 10 hectares), as well as a copy of the act on establishing damage to crops.
Damage assessment documents must be consistent with the data included in the Final Report published by the MAIA Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
Financial assistance will be provided in the form of a direct payment per hectare, calculated according to the formula established for this support measure.
The Government of the Republic of Moldova decided to provide the mentioned category of farmers with 50 million lei from the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development in the form of a non-refundable payment from the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development.
As of October 23, 2025, 792 cases of damage to corn and sunflower crops were registered, the total area of affected areas amounted to more than 56 thousand hectares.
