Keystone Moldova, together with its partners—CCF Moldova and “Partnership for Every Child”—will officially announce on Thursday, July 9, the launch of a grant competition for nongovernmental organizations. Funding will be allocated to develop “family-style home” (Casă comunitară) social services for children with severe disabilities who are currently in institutional care. The main goal of the program is to provide these children with quality care and living conditions within their local communities. The project aims to give them the opportunity to live in an environment that meets their individual needs and to support the process of deinstitutionalization.
The project is aimed at relevant NGOs, inclusion experts, and specialists from regional social assistance agencies.
The event is part of the project “A Stronger Civil Society—A Safer Childhood: Supporting the Transformation of the Child Protection System in the Republic of Moldova.” The initiative is funded by the European Union, with a budget of over 2.1 million euros for 2026–2029. The project aims to reform and strengthen the national child protection system by improving the professional qualifications of specialists, developing family-based social services, and promoting the active participation of civil society in preventing abuse, neglect, abandonment, and family separation.
