
The anniversary event will take place from June 18 to 21 in the village of Butučen, under the auspices of the Moldovan Ministry of Culture, and will feature renowned artists and cultural institutions from Moldova and Romania.
This year’s festival program includes four consecutive evenings of opera and classical music performances. The event will begin today with a pre-premiere performance of a new production of Rossini’s opera *The Barber of Seville*, performed by artists from the Bucharest National Opera.
The official opening of the anniversary festival will take place on June 19 with a program featuring famous works, as well as Martin Palmeri’s “Misantango,” performed by the Sergiu Luncheviț Moldovan National Philharmonic.
On June 20, the audience will have the opportunity to see Giuseppe Verdi’s opera *Nabucco*, staged by the Maria Bieșu Moldovan National Opera and Ballet Theater. The festival will conclude on June 21 with a gala concert titled “The Strauss Dynasty,” dedicated to the famous works of the Strauss family and performed by the Symphony Orchestra of “Teleradio-Moldova.”
In addition to the musical performances, audiences will have the opportunity to explore traditional Moldovan crafts, participate in master classes led by folk artisans, visit the “Old Orhei” Natural and Cultural Reserve, and take part in various entertainment events.
