
The money will be used to support development projects in 17 localities of the rayon that decided to unite and form a single local public administration. In particular, to modernize infrastructure and improve public services adapted to the needs of their residents.

The authorities organized broad consultations on its implementation with stakeholders, which resulted in the presentation of the concept.
Later, the government amended the normative framework of the reform, according to which the state’s financial support for each inhabitant of the united localities was tripled from 1,000 lei to 3,000 lei.
At the moment, according to the latest data provided by the authorities, over 700 decisions on the beginning of the consolidation process have been approved. This is about 87% of all mayoralties in Moldova, the State Chancellery said.
