The agreement was signed by AKTA Executive Director Rauf Jabarov, Vice-Rector for Digitalization of TUM Dinu Turcanu and President of the Scientific Association of Cyber Security of Ukraine Sergiy Hnatiuk.

Report.az reports that according to the document, the parties intend to develop regional cooperation, share experience in the field of cyber security, as well as implement joint projects and initiatives.

The signing took place on the margins of the IV National Forum on Cyber Security.

Cyber threats do not recognize state borders

Mihai Lupascu, director of the Moldovan Cyber Security Agency, spoke at the forum. He said, in particular, that cyber threats do not recognize state borders, which is why countries need to strengthen practical cooperation to effectively counter digital risks. According to him, this is why states should take concrete steps to develop cooperation in this area.

“Last year, the Moldovan government approved all security requirements for critical infrastructure objects. Thus, starting from this year we can conduct security inspections, control the correctness of implementation of the relevant regulatory framework and ensure the fulfillment of these requirements,” Lupascu said, as quoted by Caliber.az.

He also drew attention to the problem of lack of qualified personnel in the field of cyber security and emphasized that regulation and state policy continue to play an important role in the development of the protection system.
