At the same time, during this period, employees of the agency conducted 218 tax audits of 189 taxpayers.
The General Department of Control issued 131 decisions on cases of violation of legislation, which resulted in the calculation of additional liabilities amounting to 10.1 million lei. This includes: 7.1 million lei – taxes, fees, late fees and other payments, 3.0 million lei – fines.
In addition, 98 decisions on VAT refund from the budget were issued, according to which VAT in the amount of 177.8 million lei was accepted for refund.
Also, from May 18 to May 22, 2026, the STS through compulsory collection measures transferred another 42.03 million lei to the budget.
According to the State Tax Service, during this period, the state budget received 656.63 thousand lei from the sale of confiscated property by the State Tax Service.
