The decision came amid the scandal surrounding the distribution of jury scores at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The jury members gave the Romanian performer only 3 points, which caused a wave of criticism on social networks and even angered the Minister of Culture, Cristian Jardan.
Teleradio-Moldova said that it would later provide separate information about the reasons for Vlad Turcanu’s resignation.
