The prime minister’s speech at the Family Festival was warm and sincere. He emphasized that for the Moldovan citizens, family is the basis of identity and said that the state is obliged to create conditions for the compatriots who left abroad to return home.
“For us, family is a place where we learn a lot of things. First of all – respect for others, love for the homeland, diligence. And I believe that when we go somewhere – and we have a lot of Moldovans who have traveled all over the world – we always keep a piece of our family in our hearts. My family and I traveled a lot around the world, and for us, home was where we were. But, of course, the home of all houses remained the region where we all come from,” Alexandru Munteanu said.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized that the government’s priority now is to give young families stability through concrete support measures. He mentioned the expansion of the nursery network and the creation of new jobs as key steps.
“When we talk about the European family, it is not only about economy or politics. It is about values, about respect for the family, for children. We care about everyone, no one in our society should feel lonely,” Alexandru Munteanu said.
“Look into the family album”
The prime minister published a family photo for the first time on social networks, accompanying it with a text:
“I think family starts with the little things. From the question “Are you home yet?”, from family dinners where someone is almost always missing, and from photos that we take too often but begin to appreciate too late. And, of course, the eternal argument about who left the lights on again – even if no one will ever admit it. On International Family Day, I wish you to always have people around you who make your life calmer, warmer and more beautiful”.
