
The initiator of this idea is the Public Property Agency, which proposes to exempt the company from paying deductions from the profit earned by it in 2025. It should be reminded that such deductions by state-owned enterprises have been stipulated by the legislation since 2011 and are annually sent to the state budget in the amount of 25%.
The relevant draft has been prepared by the agency and proposed for public consultations until May 15.
The funds will be used to replace equipment
The amount of such contributions of the “MoldATSA” enterprise for the last year will amount to 13.08 million lei. They will be used for the replacement of morally and physically outdated equipment, implementation of digital air traffic control systems, development of communication, navigation and surveillance infrastructure, as well as implementation of projects in the field of cyber security and integration with the Single European Sky system.
According to the explanatory note to the draft, the company’s net profit last year amounted to 52.337 million lei. At the same time, for 2025-2029, the state enterprise MoldATSA planned the implementation of an investment program worth about 615.4 million lei, of which about 307 million lei of investments it intends to make in 2026.
Therefore, the part of the profit that will remain at the enterprise is necessary for it to realize the tasks set before it, the document emphasizes.
“MoldATSA” is the only national provider of air navigation services, which is responsible for traffic management in the Moldovan airspace, ensuring flight safety and fulfilling the country’s international obligations in the civil aviation sector.
In the previous two years, according to the data presented in the note by the Public Property Agency, the contributions to the state budget of “MoldATSA” amounted to 7, 373 million lei.
