The stated goal is to provide continuous agricultural advisory services adapted to the stages of the production cycle, with a focus on process improvement, economic performance and the ability to implement innovative solutions on farms, MAIA said in a press release.
Farmers working in crop production, livestock production or both sectors of the rural economy in the Republic of Moldova are invited to participate in the competition. Advantage will be given to micro, small and medium-sized farms in need of professional support throughout the production cycle.
By the way, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry MAIA has been emphasizing the work with these categories of agricultural producers for several years already.
Advisory services include initial farm assessment, development of an individual advisory plan, visits to the farm at all production stages, technological and economic recommendations, monitoring of their application, as well as documentation of results and best practices.
Farmers are selected based on certain criteria that take into account the need for advice, willingness to cooperate throughout the production cycle, ability to apply recommendations, and potential impact on results.
The activities are implemented by the Center for Rural Consultants under the auspices of the MAIA Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The competition is held within the framework of the activity “Creation of Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System(AKIS) and institutionalization of agricultural chambers” within the Reform Program linked to the Economic Growth Plan of RM for 2025-2027.
