According to her, Moldova will become self-sufficient by 2030.

“The fact that we have a significant share of imported milk today is a legacy of many years when the focus was mainly on the development of households rather than authorized industrial farms with constant volumes. As a result, processors face instability of supply. We are working on this problem on two fronts: supporting both primary production – the farm – and food processing. The AGGRI project plans to further expand support measures to achieve self-sufficiency in the processing industry by 2030,” said Catlabuga.

While she was speaking from the central rostrum, PAS deputy Adrian Balucel published on social media statistics on agri-food exports, according to which exports of processed dairy products from Moldova increased by 85% in four years.

“Dairy products: in 2021, 14,900 tons were exported, worth $18.9 million. For 2025, it is estimated that exports will increase to 17,500 tons and revenues will rise to $35 million.”
