Grants up to 1.5 million lei for energy efficiency for SMEs

The respective draft was approved by the government at a meeting on January 14. The financial support will be provided to SMEs on the basis of a grant agreement signed between the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The grant funds are intended for the realization of the project “Strong Enterprises and Communities in Moldova”. The period of its implementation is planned for the period from December 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026.

The total amount of the grant financial assistance is EUR 1.85 million. From these funds, the government will provide grant financing to at least 24 small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova.

Each selected company will receive a grant of up to 1.5 million lei. This amount is up to 50% of the investment cost.

The total budget of the project “Strong Enterprises and Communities in Moldova” will amount to 3.68 million euros. Of these funds, 1.85 million euros will be the grant provided by GIZ, and 1.83 million euros will be the beneficiaries’ contribution to the implementation of investment projects.

Thanks to them, small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to carry out technological modernization, optimize internal processes and reduce energy costs. This will contribute to productivity growth and business competitiveness.
