In total, 288 micro and small agricultural enterprises have been financed under the Credit Facility in Agriculture Program since the launch of the program in March last year and until the end of December. The program covers all regions of the country, with most of them located in the northern part of the country.
The program provides financing in Moldovan lei at a fixed rate of 5.1% per annum. Accordingly, the final beneficiaries benefit from an average advantage of 6.45 p.p. compared to loans from commercial banks. The maximum amount that an enterprise can expect is 5 million lei, of which the grant component can be up to 30%, depending on the type of investment. Beneficiaries can also access financial guarantees through a guarantee fund managed by the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA).
It should be noted that the program is implemented by the Moldovan government in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the Ministry of Finance and the Office for the Administration of Foreign Aid Programs (OGPAE) through financial institutions.
As noted on the OGPAE’s information page, the total amount of funds invested through the FCA so far exceeds 281 million lei. Of these, more than 38 million lei were disbursed in December. The total amount of grants awarded over the entire period of the program exceeds MDL 30 million, of which MDL 3.95 million were disbursed in December 2025.
Beneficiaries invested in equipment for traditional and conservative agriculture, as well as for post-harvest processing.
For the next period under the program, MDL 271 million is available for loans and MDL 29 million for grants related to eligible projects.
