According to Anca Dragu, President of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), this event “changed the way citizens and companies interact with the banking system”.
“Connecting to the Single Euro Payments Area was a real step that went beyond a technical project and turned into a symbol of our European path. Together with the national instant payments platform MIA, integration into SEPA has fundamentally changed the way citizens and companies interact with the financial system, ensuring efficiency, security and approximation to European standards,” said Anca Dragu in her final and congratulatory message.
The NBM Governor also emphasized the role of citizens in these projects:
“Special thanks go to the citizens – they have adopted new payment solutions, showed openness to innovations and thus demonstrated that financial literacy can produce tangible results”.
Anca Dragoo expressed gratitude to the employees of the banking sector, state institutions and international partners:
“I express my gratitude for the commitment and spirit of cooperation that made these projects possible.”
Dragu also noted that the National Bank looks forward to 2026 with confidence and responsibility:
“We are determined to strengthen integration into Europe’s financial market and to maintain a stable, transparent and predictable climate for citizens and investors. The National Bank will remain an active and professional partner focused on sustainable solutions and the public interest”.
