The document provides for the full payment of the MHI contribution (of 12.6 thousand lei) by non-working representatives of free professions in the justice sector (mediators, notaries, lawyers, bailiffs, court bailiffs, forensic experts working in the bureau of forensic expertise, simultaneous interpreters and translators, authorized managers), as well as by persons who work independently as family doctors.
The authors of the amendment believe that these categories receive large incomes and in order to ensure social justice and sustainability of MHI funds, it is proposed that they pay only the full cost of the contribution.
In addition, the amendment envisages an increase in the preferential cost of the policy for other categories of payers obliged to insure themselves: from 1264 lei in 2024 to 2527 lei in 2026, the amount of the contribution for the owners of agricultural land plots will increase, regardless of whether they have or have not leased or used these lands on the basis of an agreement. From 1895 lei to 2527 lei (+33%) will be increased the preferential amount of contribution for individuals who carry out independent activity in the retail trade sector, except for the trade in goods subject to excise duty. The same contribution is planned to be established for founders of individual enterprises; patent holders; physical persons who on the basis of an agreement lease or have in use agricultural land. This also applies to individuals who lease vehicles, premises, equipment and other tangible assets, except for the lease of agricultural land; individuals engaged in the purchase of crop and/or horticultural products; all other non-working Moldovan citizens, foreigners with the right of permanent residence and persons enjoying international protection, provided that they provide evidence of their stay in the Republic for at least 183 days during the year, as well as non-working foreigners who
The discounted policy can be purchased until March 31. During the rest of the time, the above-mentioned categories of citizens will have to pay the full price of the policy, which will remain at the current level – 12,636 lei.
The parliament will have to approve the draft law in the second reading.
