This product was brought to the external market through the Bridge Missions program from the Investment Agency.

“Currently, acacia, lime and polyflower honey is sold abroad both in bulk and in premium jars. Each batch comes from controlled apiaries to ensure the product is sustainable. We collect honey from passionate beekeepers from all over the country – people who share the same values as we do and contribute to maintaining the authenticity of the range,” said Anatol Rusu, founder of the company.

For a producer aiming at foreign markets, participation in international exhibitions is crucial. The cooperation between Apifera and the Investment Agency began in 2025, when the company participated in the first economic mission of Bridge Missions in Germany.

“In 2026, we intend to participate in the Paris mission, where we plan to establish an exclusive partnership with the Nordic market. In the Nordic countries honey is more expensive, but it is also valued much higher, as consumers there are looking for natural and authentic products,” said Anatol Rusu.

According to the National Association of Beekeepers of Moldova, 3,700 tons of honey worth $10.7 billion will be exported in 2025. Moldova exports honey to 24 countries, 90% of which are European Union countries, as well as to the USA.

The Bridge Missions program is aimed at increasing the international competitiveness of local companies through participation in B2B meetings, fairs, exhibitions, forums and summits. In this way, small businesses can establish strategic partnerships.

Between April and November 2025, more than 250 Moldovan companies from IT, agriculture, creative industries, winemaking and tourism participated in the Bridge Missions program, and 110 of them have already received non-refundable funding totaling 1.58 million lei.
