The project, which began last summer, aims to transform the city center into a friendly, safe and attractive space for residents. Today, residents and visitors to Criuleni can enjoy a reconstructed pedestrian boulevard and a renovated riverside park, two areas that create new opportunities for recreation, socializing and sports.
The project included the following works: landscaping of 2.2667 hectares; construction of 8,901 m² of lighted and paved paths suitable for walking, jogging, cycling and access to sports fields; construction of a multifunctional sports field; and installation of more than 200 pieces of urban furniture.
The total cost of the works amounts to 14.35 million lei, of which 11.57 million lei were allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL), and 2.78 million lei were the contribution of local public authorities.
The city authorities believe that the new pedestrian and green zones improve urban mobility, create better conditions for social and sports activities and contribute to the quality of life. At the same time, they expect that these improvements will stimulate economic activity and attract new investments in the region.
