The annual inflation index in October amounted to 106.99%. Average consumer prices in October 2025 compared to a year earlier increased by about 7.0%, including food products – by 6.8%, non-food products – by 2.5% and services to the population – by 13.8%.
At the same time, an acceleration in the growth of core inflation (excluding the growth of prices for food products) is registered: 4.61% – since the beginning of the year, 5.06% – in annual terms.
In addition to the annual index of prices for regulated goods and services, which remains “out of competition” (115.7%), the palm of primacy is held by food inflation (108.3%).
The monthly inflation rate in October (0.65%) is mainly due to the rise in the price of food products. The growth of average consumer prices in October 2025 compared to September 2025 is due to the increase in prices for food products – by more than 1.0%.
The most pronounced increase in average consumer prices for food products was noted for chicken eggs – by 8.0%, vegetables – by 6.8%, milk and dairy products – by 0.8%, vegetable oil – by 0.7%. At the same time, average consumer prices for fresh fruits decreased by about 1.1%. And prices for non-food products rose by 0.2% for the month, for services to the population – about 0.8%.
In the group of non-food products in October this year, the most pronounced increase in average consumer prices was recorded for coal – by 2.6%, clothes – by 0.8%, shoes – by 0.7%, construction materials for current housing repair – by 0.4%.
At the same time, there was recorded a monthly decrease in average consumer prices for gasoline – by 2.4%, liquefied gas – by 2.0%, diesel fuel – by 1.2%.
In the sphere of services to the population in October compared to September this year, the average prices for public catering services increased by 5.3%, for water supply and sewerage services – by 1.9%.
Average consumer prices for passenger transportation services in October decreased by 0.9% (including air transportation services – by 3.6%).
