PAS party gets 55 mandates; Patriotic Bloc – 26; Alternativa bloc – 8; Our Party – 6; Democrația Acasă (DA) party – 6 mandates. The latter party is subject to a CEC decision, which partially satisfied the PAS complaint demanding the annulment of its registration as an electoral contestant. The fate of the party’s mandates will be decided by the Constitutional Court.
Sunday evening session was the final stage of the summarization procedure and will allow to proceed to their consideration by the CC. Within 10 days after receiving the official report on the parliamentary elections from the CEC, the CC confirms the results and approves the mandates of the deputies. The court will have to analyze the report, which consists of 16 chapters and more than 190 pages. It is an analysis of all actions of the Central Election Commission and territorial bodies, as well as authorities of all levels involved in the process.
The new parliament is convened by the president no later than 30 days after the elections. A special commission is set up to elect the Speaker of Parliament – the vote is held secretly, while the deputies are elected on the proposal of the new Speaker. Parliamentary factions are formed within 10 days. After consultations with the factions, the president appoints a candidate for the post of prime minister.
According to the final report, 2,738,735 voters were included in the main lists for the September 28, 2025 parliamentary elections and 342,244 in the supplementary lists. A total of 1,609,579 voters cast their ballots, representing 52.24% of the electorate. 30,857 ballots were recognized as invalid.
