Another six projects envisage major repairs and rehabilitation of socio-cultural buildings in Lăpuşna, Roşcani, Floreşti, Colicauti, Pelinia and Taraclia.

A week earlier, the government approved the increase in the number of staff and the adjustment of the structure of the National Directorate of Regional and Local Development (ONDRL), so that the institution can better respond to the development needs of the country’s localities. Its staff will be expanded to six units, increasing its capacity to coordinate the evaluation, contracting and monitoring of infrastructure projects.
The Directorate will also have increased responsibilities for attracting extrabudgetary sources of financing and supporting local public administration bodies in the implementation of projects.
ONDRL plays an important role in local development, managing major programs such as European Village, Public Kindergarten Services and Europe Close. To date, the institution has coordinated more than 1,900 projects.
