Djofra-M is the largest producer of fiberglass mesh in Moldova and a reliable supplier for partners across Europe. “The company’s production volumes have reached 55-60 million m2, which we export annually to EU countries. We have a wide range of products for exterior and interior works,” said Savelie Groian, founder of the company.
At first, it seemed impossible for a Moldovan manufacturer to compete with well-known European brands. But thanks to hard work, investments and perseverance, Djofra-M has become one of the ten largest fiberglass producers on the continent. Ambitions for the coming years are even higher. The company aims to become one of the top three and start producing products for leading industries such as automotive, aerospace and even the space industry.
Integration into the European market has become not only an export for Djofra-M, but also a school of discipline and innovation. All waste is now recycled and turned into sound and thermal insulation materials. The company has adapted its production to European standards, which has opened access to large wholesale stores and retail chains.
“In Europe, there are strict rules. But if you follow them, you can get results. I realized that it is only through quality and consistency that one can stay in this competitive market,” emphasizes Savelie Groian.
Djofra-M’s success is based on continuous investment and access to European funding programs. “Our advice to SMEs: put aside fear and take advantage of available grants and loans. They give you the opportunity to modernize your technologies and become competitive in Europe,” says Nicolae Groian, project manager.
Today, Djofra-M products are present in chains and all over Europe. For the company, the EU is not only a stable market, but also an opportunity to grow with the best. “The European Union offers us a huge market with high purchasing power and high standards. It is a place where we can learn, compete and grow,” adds Nicolae Groian.
