The exposition was organized by the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “We didn’t even expect that there would be so many people wishing to attend and we were forced to accommodate them outside the central pavilion as well. Thank you. We Moldovans are like that – we hold the exhibition in the format of a festival: there is music, dancing and local gastronomy,” said Sergiu Harea, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova. The artistic program is presented by both central and local authorities.

The event is aimed at promoting domestic goods and services, supporting local producers and strengthening consumer confidence in “Made in Moldova” brands. CCI forecasts more than 50 thousand visitors during three days. Volunteers are involved to ensure the direction of their flows.

Food products, including honey and dried fruits, are presented on the first day of the exhibition, sausages and bakery products on August 23, and creative industrial products on August 24. Prices for exhibition goods are 20-30% lower than on the shelves in chain stores.

There will be several competitions for domestic producers, and incentives include diplomas and 50% discounts for participation in the next exhibitions, “so that next year there will be no vacancies at all”.

In addition, next year the best will be covered the costs of the exhibition space – about 3,500-4,000 lei for the company, if it “proves that it is not a one-day enterprise that just demonstrates products, but works steadily”.

Invitations to foreign exhibitions will also be offered as prizes.

“The EU market is very competitive, there are a lot of people who want to enter this market, and we have to offer something original, special,” said the CCI president.

It should be reminded that for 22 years the CCI has been organizing the exhibition “Made in Moldova”, also dedicated to local producers.

This year, October 8, marks 100 years since the first exhibition was held on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
