Exports have noticeably increased. During the previous marketing season, as analysis of customs data shows, the country shipped 21.8 thousand tons to foreign markets.
The value of flour exports has also increased. If in the 2023-24 season the volume of external supplies of this product in financial terms amounted to 102.6 million lei, in the 2024-25 season it increased by 51% to 155 million lei.
It is noteworthy that the increase was provided not only by volumes, but also by prices. Thus, if in 2022-23 season the average price of export wheat flour produced in Moldova was 6.28 lei/kg, in the next season it decreased to 4.70 lei/kg. But in 2024-25 the price level started to recover – it returned to 5.15 lei/kg.
