General European funds have ducked ajar

At a meeting on July 16, the cabinet approved a mechanism that will facilitate access to common European funds designed to reduce unemployment, improve the quality of jobs and promote social innovation.

This is the regulation on Moldova’s participation in the Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) section of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).

The developed regulation establishes the conditions, principles and stages of participation in projects within the section, activities and areas to be financed, as well as the conditions of admission of subjects to participate in projects, forms of financing, etc.

With the approval of the document, legal entities from Moldova will have the right to participate in calls for proposals announced by the European Commission, under the same conditions as in the Member States.

The EaSI component is a European Union program with a total budget of 762 million euros for the period of 2021-2027. It supports projects in areas such as combating unemployment, labor mobility, social inclusion and improving working conditions. Participation in the program opens access to grants, supports the development of social services and creates conditions for transnational cooperation.
