Costeşti City Hall enters the capital market

Costeşti City Hall enters the capital market

Thus, Kostiště will become the fourth participant in the municipal bond market. MAIB was selected as the financial intermediary. The collected funds will be used to complete the construction of the sewerage system and treatment facilities.

“We are pleased with this opportunity to master this modern financial instrument, which will allow us to raise important resources without putting pressure on the local budget. The funds raised will have a direct impact on the daily life of our residents,” said Ilie Ionas, Mayor of Costeşti village.

The process is supported by a group of experts from the Independent Analytical Center “Expert-Grup” within the Program of Support to Local Public Administration Authorities, implemented with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova.

Previously, the Chisinau City Hall (2022), Ceadir-Lunga municipality (2021 and 2024) and Singera municipality (2021) benefited from this borrowing instrument.
