
Organizations were recognized for their fundamental contribution to the sustainable development of local communities, outstanding achievements in the social sphere, success in promoting energy efficiency, as well as for strengthening society’s ability to resist misinformation and manipulation. Special attention was paid to those organizations that have achieved concrete successes at the local level, in line with one of the priority areas of EU support – empowering civil society in Moldova.
The winners of this year’s Gala Awards were:
– NGO “Henri Capitant” – for “Stronger Governance”;
– PA “Paideia”, Floresti – for “Stronger Society”;
– NGO “Pino”, village. Molovata Noue village, Dubasari district – for “Stronger economy”;
– NGO “EcoContact” – for “Sustainable development and green energy”;
– Motivație for Promoting Gender Equality;
– NGO “National Network of Local Youth Councils of Moldova” – for “Resilience to misinformation”.
“Today we are not only awarding successful projects, but also celebrating the deep commitment of the organizations that, day in and day out, contribute to a more prosperous Moldova, even more focused on the needs of each individual. The European Union will continue to support these guardians of a prosperous and healthy society – civil society – especially now, as Moldova moves towards integration into the European family,“ said Janis Mazeix, EU Ambassador to Moldova.
