A memorandum was signed between Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Commercial Sea Port (BSP) and APM Terminals Poti (a division of Maersk) to work within the Trans-Caspian route.

“This is the first memorandum of Belgorod-Dnistrovsky port on cooperation within the development of the international transportation corridor TMTM or “Middle Corridor”,” said Oksana Kiktenko, head of the Ukrainian ICC. – APM Terminals Poti is the owner of the port of Poti, the largest in Georgia. The two private seaports will be connected by a new ferry route and a car-railroad ferry complex. It is being designed by the new owner of the Ukrainian port, taking into account the cargo handling requirements of the “Middle Corridor”, which will pass through Ukraine along the Bessarabia Route (Ukraine-Moldova-Romania) railroad route. This will contribute to the formation and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two ports”.

Recall that last November, after many attempts, a successful auction for privatization of Belgorod-Dnistrovsky ICC property was finally held. The only participant and winner was the company TOP-OFFER LLC.

It was later reported that the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Port plans to supply transit cargo from Asia to the European Union via Moldova and Romania by the end of 2025.
