The relevant contracts were signed on 22 April with the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA). This program was suspended for some time due to lack of funds.

The well-known tourist complex Gagauz Sofrası from Congaz village in Comrat district plans to purchase new equipment for the kitchen. “We are expanding our services and location,” says Anna Statova, founder and owner of the complex. – In total, 500 thousand lei are needed to implement the project. We hope that 200 thousand lei of this amount will be covered by the ODA grant”.

The Casa veche guest house in Palanca village, Stefan Voda district, has been in the epicenter of events to receive refugees from Ukraine since 2022. “There are no hotels in this area, and if someone travels from abroad, they can stay with us,” says owner Zacharias Arama. – We started with the intention of taking our guests to Ukraine, because we are only 70 kilometers away from Odessa. But, as they say, life has made its adjustments.

The tourist complex includes two locations. The main house of four rooms with a restaurant plus an additional house with a kitchen, where you can live with your family longer. The owners have applied for a 300,000 lei tourism support program grant. “We are trying to expand and diversify our services,” the entrepreneur continues. – Since there are not enough premises, we are building a house nearby for 4 families. Before opening Casa veche in the capital, we had a small catering company. Now we are resuming this business as well, but already in Palanka.

The recreation club Panzele albe in the capital’s suburb of Vatra, on the shore of Lake Gidighic, plans to buy equipment for heating the water in the swimming pool, worth about 900 thousand lei. The owners hope to cover half of this amount with a grant (the maximum amount for services is limited to 500 thousand lei).

Pastry chef Irina Negara is also expanding her production. Her pastries are known as Desserts. The cakes can be tasted at a café of the same name in the capital’s Botanica neighborhood, and they are baked in Ialoveni. “This is the first state project I decided to participate in,” she says. – Until now, I developed my business only with the funds of my family (Irina is the wife of singer Adrian Ursu). We need new equipment worth 650 thousand lei, and we hope to get about 60% of this sum from the state. This is a pleasant bonus, because we would have bought it anyway”.
