Customs is ahead of schedule on collections

The Customs Service of Moldova has transferred to the state budget more than 804.8 million lei of taxes and fees collected from economic entities during the period from April 14 to April 21, - reports Logos Press.

Customs is ahead of schedule on collections

According to the CU, since the beginning of the current year, the state budget revenues from the activity of the customs bodies amounted to about 11.4 billion lei, which is 2.2 per cent higher than the planned level.

During the last seven days (April 14-21), individuals imported into Moldova goods whose customs value exceeded the non-taxable limit. Payments worth about 34.3 million lei were collected for them, which represents 4.3% of the total amount collected during this period.

Also during April 14-21, 11,945 customs declarations were issued, while vehicles crossed the state border 89,113 times. The busiest customs posts are Leuseni (21,634 crossings) and Sculeni (16,214 crossings).
