The annual spring meetings of the IMF and the WB Group have positioned themselves as a unique format for exchanging views. Each year, they bring together central bankers, finance ministers, private sector leaders, civil society representatives, and academics to discuss the state of the global economy and international development issues.
Global issues such as growth prospects, financial stability and poverty reduction are discussed conceptually first in the forum. The meetings are the only place of their kind to discuss economic policy issues and regional problems of the countries invited to the forum.
The Moldovan delegation’s agenda includes Moldova’s macroeconomic development and prospects, the results of the program with the IMF, the central bank’s reform program in the context of the country’s integration into the SEPA zone and the European community. Within the meetings, the Moldovan delegation will hold bilateral meetings dedicated to these priority directions of the country’s development, the official statement said.
