The change is part of a package of amendments related to the digitization of business services. These amendments will be incorporated into 12 laws. The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization has opened a second round of public consultations on the draft amendments, which will run through August 19.
Amendments to the Law on State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs provide that, prior to submitting an application for registration of a legal entity, the applicant will be able to check the availability of up to three name options free of charge via EVO.
This check will be for informational purposes only and will not replace the name reservation process. In addition, information from the State Register of Legal Entities for use within Moldova is planned to be provided automatically and in real time via web applications, without the need to request a separate extract.
An extract from the registry will be issued for submission abroad when an official document confirming the company’s registration details is required.
As previously reported by Logos Press, Moldova is developing the e-Arhiva information system, which will enable the centralized storage, tracking, and secure transmission of electronic documents, reduce dependence on paper archives, and ensure rapid access to information.
