This measure is necessary to continue work on restoring the railway infrastructure and to avoid delays in the implementation of the project on the Bendery–Basarabeasca–Etulia–Giurgiulești section.
“The decision was made in accordance with the Law on the State Budget for 2026 and is based on commitments undertaken by the Republic of Moldova as part of the financing of projects supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank,” according to a statement from the Public Property Agency.
The agency, as the founding authority, will ensure that amendments are made to the Articles of Incorporation of the state-owned enterprise “Calea Ferată din Moldova” and that these amendments are registered in accordance with the procedures established by law.
