Companies from several countries, including Romania, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Malta, Austria, and Greece, participated in the new rounds of the auction. The products offered for purchase were intended to build a gas portfolio for the cold season, covering both quarterly and monthly delivery periods.
Thus, Energocom requested volumes of up to 225,000 MWh for the first quarter of 2027, specifically for the period from January through March 2027. For the monthly contracts covering December 2026, January 2027, and February 2027, the requested volumes ranged from 84,000 MWh to 155,000 MWh per contract.
The company notes that purchases are made through forward contracts based on a pricing formula correlated with the TTF Front Month index, according to quotes published by Argus Media. Thus, entering into preliminary contracts ensures the volumes required for delivery, while the final price is determined later in accordance with the contract terms.
The procurement process is ongoing, and the company will continue to organize new rounds of auctions depending on gas demand, its approved strategy, and market conditions. Information on contracted volumes will be disclosed after the procurement process is completed to ensure that the auctions are conducted fairly and competitively.
