Real estate valuation models will be refined and adjusted

The Agency for Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre will revise the real estate valuation models used for tax purposes. The cadastre agency identified technical inaccuracies in these models related to the complexity and specific nature of the data used in the revaluation process.

According to the agency, the decision was made following public consultations on the results obtained during the revaluation of real estate properties. The purpose of the proposed changes is to adjust certain elements of the valuation models to ensure their consistent and fair application, taking into account current real estate market conditions. This will ultimately improve the accuracy of property valuations.

The agency is calling on experts and all interested citizens to submit proposals and comments by August 6, 2026, for inclusion in the drafts that will update all six orders regarding the current valuation models.

These orders concern the approval of valuation models for apartments in high-rise buildings in all settlements, as well as in the cities and villages that are part of the municipalities of Chișinău and Bălți, garden plots and land parcels, garages, and parking spaces within high-rise residential buildings.

Proposals and comments should be submitted to Nadejda Josan, head of the Property Valuation Department, who is responsible for developing the drafts. You may call 022 88 12 63 or send an email to [email protected].
