More than 1,500 visitors attended the 24th edition of Vernissage of Wine, an event held under the slogan “Our wine conquers the world”, according to Logos Press.

The XXIII “Vernissage of Wines”, held on May 16, was dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the production of wines with protected geographical indication (IGP) in Moldova. The theme of the event was proposed by the Grape and Wine Union of the delimited geographical region Valul lui Traian, in order to show consumers which domestic wines have obtained the right to use the quality category of wines with IGP.

At the XXIII “Vernissage of Wines”, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the production of wines with protected geographical indication (IGP), a competition was announced for the best name for a Moldovan sparkling wine with an indication of origin that would represent terroir, reflect authenticity and become an international symbol.

The Spring Wine Vernissage, a landmark event for the wine industry, will bring together 43 wineries that produce wines with a protected geographical indication (IGP). An indicator of the region of origin, the typicality of the varieties used, and winemaking regulations, IGP has become the national standard for certifying the origin and quality of a product.
