Within the framework of the UNESCO inter-ministerial conference CoMoCoSEE “Sustainable Cultural Models for the Future” in Macedonia on December 12, Moldova took over the presidency for 2026 of the Council of Ministers of Culture of South-East Europe.

The United States has again announced its withdrawal from UNESCO because of the organization’s “anti-American vector” – Logos Press reports.

The Gagauz language is included by UNESCO in the list of endangered languages, which is why concrete actions are needed on the part of the state to preserve it and pass it on to new generations, Logos Press reports.

The regional conflict in Ukraine has aggravated the problem of illicit trade in cultural property. A UNESCO regional training in Chisinau was devoted to strengthening international cooperation and developing the capacity of specialized structures to counter this phenomenon,” Logos Press reports.
