Moldova, Romania and Ukraine will set up a Trilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry to facilitate access to European funds for Ukraine’s reconstruction projects, Logos Press reported.

At the Rebuilding Ukraine: Security, Opportunities, Investments forum held in Bucharest, representatives of Romania, Moldova and Ukraine announced their intention to strengthen regional cooperation in the infrastructure sector by forming the so-called “strategic triangle of connectivity”. Its goal is to support Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction and increase the sustainability of the entire region, Logos Press reported.

The United Nations estimates the total cost of Ukraine’s post-war recovery and reconstruction at $524 billion over the next decade. These figures are up to date as of the end of 2024, with the cost estimates increasing every year. New figures are expected by the end of this year.

The end of the war in Ukraine may give Moldova’s economy a new impetus for development both in terms of direct participation in the reconstruction of the neighboring country and by transferring many business processes and production facilities of foreign companies here, Logos Press reports.
