The EU may soon introduce tough measures against China, including duties, if Beijing does not respond to Europe’s trade claims, French President Emmanuel Macron said. He called the situation critical for the European industry, – Logos Press reports with reference to RBC.

About 34 thousand tons, worth more than 220 million lei, made up the Moldovan turnover of finished fodder and by-products (soybean meal, bran, cake, bard, etc.) in October 2025, Logos Press reported.

In July 2025, $347 million worth of goods were exported, a 30.3 percent increase from June 2025 and a 21.8 percent increase from July 2024.

In the first half of 2025, exports of goods totaled $1601.2 million, down 10.1 percent from the corresponding period of 2024, Logos Press reported.

In January-May 2025, exports of goods amounted to $1,334.9 million, down 10.5% compared to the same period in 2024, the National Bureau of Statistics reported.

Export of goods from Moldova decreased by 11.3% year-on-year in the period from January to April and amounted to $1077.1 million. At the same time, import of foreign goods increased by 16.2% and reached $3407.9 million. Accordingly, the trade balance deficit increased by 35.7% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $2330.8 million.
