The Council for the Review of Significant Investments for State Security has blocked any possible capital investment related to the Topaz plant, citing security concerns.

The sensational news about the freezing of Topaz JSC’s accounts and assets raised many questions and speculations due to the fact that some people perceived (intentionally or unknowingly) the actions of the State Tax Service as part of the struggle for control over the company between the old and new owners, according to Logos Press.

By order of the State Tax Inspectorate, all accounts, funds and economic resources of the United Engine Corporation JSC, managed indirectly through the controlled legal entity Topaz JSC, have been blocked,” Logos Press reports.
