Soccer club Spartanii-Sportul has received a notice from the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) banning the registration of new players, Logos Press reported.

The soccer club “Petrocub” from Hincesti became the “winter champion” of Moldova, while “Spartanii-Sportul” from the village of Selemet was the first to lose its chances for further stay in the top division, – reports Logos Press.

The conflict in the soccer club “Spartanii-Sportul” does not subside. Viorel Cojocaru, former president and technical director of the club, head of the Sportul academy, gave Logos Press an exclusive comment on the situation (for details see LP No. 36 of 03.10.2025).

FC Spartanii-Sportul defeated Dacia-Buiucani 1-0 in the 15th round of the Super League, the first since the start of the season in June, Logos Press reported.

The outsider of the Super League standings – soccer club “Spartanii-Sportul” – has become the leader in fierce debates in the soccer community on the expediency of being in the elite of clubs with unstable financial situation and the role of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF). The reason were the statements of the former president and technical director of the club, head of the academy “Sportul” Viorel Cojocaru, who accused the new management of “taking over” the club, and the foreign investor – in the realization of fraudulent schemes and tax evasion. The club representatives insist that they are right.

The head of the Sportul soccer academy, Viorel Cojocaru, who also heads the coaching staff of the youth team Spartanii-Sportul (Chisinau), has been fined by the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) and suspended for two matches of the Moldovan under-11 championship, Logos Press reports.
